The Little Fish International Film Festival (LFIFF) celebrates independent cinema from around the world. We welcome films that highlight underrepresented voices, cultural storytelling, and bold, original narratives.

Submission Timeline (2026)

Submissions Open: April 1
Early Deadline: April 30
Regular Deadline: May 15
Final Deadline: June 12
Official Selections Announced: August 2026

Submission Fee

$60 per submission, per category (non-refundable). Fee waivers may be granted at the discretion of the Festival Director.

Selection Criteria

Films are selected based on storytelling and originality, cultural relevance and impact, technical quality, artistic vision, and alignment with the LFIFF mission.

Submitting your film to the Little Fish International Film Festival (LFIFF) is simple and secure using FilmFreeway. Follow these steps to ensure your submission is complete:

  1. Create a FilmFreeway Account
    Go to FilmFreeway.com and sign up for a free account if you don’t already have one.
  2. Search for Little Fish International Film Festival (LFIFF)
    Use the search bar on FilmFreeway to find our festival. Make sure you select the 2026 edition.
  3. Select Your Category
    Choose the category that best fits your film: Narrative Feature, Documentary Short, Student Short, Music, Culture & Sound, International Spotlight, or Experimental & Emerging Voices.
  4. Complete the Submission Form
    Fill in your film details including title, synopsis, runtime, country of origin, and credits.
  5. Upload Your Film & Supporting Materials
    Upload a secure digital screener, trailer, and any additional materials required by the festival (such as posters or press kits).
  6. Pay the Submission Fee
    The standard submission fee is $60 per category (non-refundable). Fee waivers may be granted at the discretion of the Festival Director.
  7. Submit and Confirm
    Review your submission carefully and click “Submit.” You will receive a confirmation email from FilmFreeway.
  8. Check Your Dashboard
    Use your FilmFreeway dashboard to track the status of your submission and receive festival notifications.
